Address: 129 Sutherlin Avenue

Description: A sparse but distinctive Rotaanesque Revival edifice distinguished by its rich red brick and the conical topped corner belfry. The verticality of the facade is counterbalanced by the use of belt courses that link with the various openings. This small but solid and compact building adds a note of architectural interest and variety to an otherwise residential block. Built in 1899 by R. B. Graham, well known turn-of-the- century architect-builder. Rabbi Norman Auerback and other members of the Synagogue will explain ceremonial objects in sanctuary. Among the hostesses will be Mrs. W. H. Hoffman, who at the dedication on February 28, 1900, presented the key to the temple.
