Description: | Built in 1912 by Civil War veteran, Ballard Preston Hylton, local wholesaler, and planned by his daughter, Miss Hattie Hylton, for whom Hylton Hall is named. She organized the first Welfare Department for Dan River Mills. In the dining room, sideboard brought down from the Blue Ridge Mountains when family moved to Danville in 1800’s.
